Why ProTalk?

Since 2011, ProTalk has been successfully delivering language coaching to its clients. We put our clients at the heart of the learning process and offer fresh, insightful and energising sessions that facilitate greater confidence and comfort in using a foreign language in the business environment. 

We have moved away from the traditional “grammar book” approach to teaching and focus on developing natural communication skills that enable our clients to be effective in real life “out of the classroom” situations.

We consider language coaching as more than just learning a language. We deliver sessions that motivate, inspire and facilitate insight.

Our services

ProTalk is a language development provider to many of the biggest Helsinki based law firms, private banks, consultancies and logistic companies. We offer a range of language coaching services that can meet a wide variety of needs. We have a flexible approach to our coaching, so if there is something you want that isn’t below, please get in contact.

Face-to-Face
Language Coaching

Face-to-face language coaching sessions can be held at the client’s premises, a restaurant or any another location the client does business. 

Our coaching is suitable for clients who want to develop authentic communication skills for the business environment. We can offer coaching sessions for developing both spoken and written communication. 

Our clients often want to focus on areas such as: increasing confidence when speaking, broadening vocabulary, refreshing aspects of grammar, increasing accuracy, and keeping their language skills “conversation ready”.

We offer:

  • Private – 1 person
  • Semi-private – 2 people
  • Group lessons – max 5 people

Online
Language Coaching

ProTalk online sessions were launched due to the Covid19 pandemic. They have been a great success as we can meet our clients no matter where they are in the world. We use platforms such as Teams and Zoom.

As with face-to-face-sessions, we can offer coaching for developing both spoken and written communication.

We also offer  “Walk&Talk” sessions on the telephone. This is where the client develops their phone speaking skills and also gets the opportunity to go for a walk.

We offer:

  • Private – 1 person
  • Semi-private – 2 people
  • Group lessons – max 5 people

Language
Testing

We provide an online testing service to evaluate language proficiency through a package that includes both written and speaking assessments. This allows you to assess individuals’ written communication skills and their ability to engage in real-life discussions. 

We work closely with clients – often their HR teams – to develop test questions and assessment criteria that meet the specific needs and demands of their organisation. 

Employer branding and flexibility is central to our mission. Our goal is to make the testing process engaging, friendly and inspirational, empowering the test candidates to fully demonstrate their competence.

Meet your coaches

ProTalk’s language coaches are not your “traditional” language teachers. Instead of only focusing on grammar and book exercises, we encourage our clients to actively use their voice and engage with the language. We aim to understand our clients’ business environment and speak in their language.

“I am a native Brit based in Helsinki and I have been coaching English since 2012. I also hold a post-graduate qualification in clinical hypnosis and I use principles of psychology when I coach. I went on to content and copy writing as a freelancer, with a neverending passion for creative storytelling and language. I’m half Swedish and as a translator I’m specialized in native translation. I coach both of the Finnish official languages (Finnish and Swedish) at ProTalk. Feeling, interesting topics and progress – for me, these three are the corner stones for providing a fun, rewarding and useful coaching session to my clients.”

Finnish lessons are provided by Daniela Holm, who is a native speaker in Finnish and Swedish.
